  • On Sunday April 14, 1912 the boat hit an ice berg at 11:40 pm. The Titanic had two hours or less to stay afloat. With only 20 life boats on deck and there where 2,225 people aboard. At 2:30 am April 15 (the somewhat next day) the boat sank to the abyss of the Atlantic ocean. 1,517 people sank and died with "The Ship Of Dreams" or as I like to call "The Ship Of Lost Dreams".

  • Indeed the TitaniC sank at 2.20a.m. on April 15th 1912. she struck the berg the day earlier on April 14th at 11.40 p.m. Throughout the day ice warnings were received from other ships in the vicinity of the Titanic. Unfortunately the wireless operators were very busy sending personal messages to Cape Race, some messages never got to the captain or the bridge. They had got in contact with Cape Race on April 13th and began sending personal messages that were sent by the passengers. She sank in 2 hours and 40 minutes and lost approximately 1,523 lives. Passengers in lifeboats were very cold and the rescue operation I believe, began at approximately 4.00 - 4.30 a.m. on April 15th 1912. they were taken aboard the Carpathia and arrived in New York on April 18th. Hope this answers your question. Sam.
